A mango farmer and his family died by suicide in Wanaparthy district allegedly due to mounting financial losses and pressure over loan repayments. Police said the farmer recorded a video message before his death. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
A mango farmer along with his family died by suicide at Salkapur village in Wanaparthy district on Wednesday, allegedly due to mounting financial losses and pressure from a finance company over loan repayments.
The deceased farmer was identified as Chetla Narasimlu (40), a native of Dokuru village in Devarkadra mandal of Mahabubnagar district. The tragedy reportedly took place at a mango orchard in Salkapur village of Khilla Ghanpur mandal in Wanaparthy district at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
